Our children and parents come to encounter Christ.

St. Patrick’s Parish Family Formation is designed to help young children and parents encounter Christ and understand the deep love God has for them. Our children’s formation is for preschoolers up to 5th grade. We are happy to offer two formation programs for children, as well as two formation times to choose from!

Family Formation Session Time Options:

Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.  (All are encouraged to join us for breakfast immediately after the 8:30 a.m. Mass)

Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd only)

We also offer two Formation options for our children, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Faith Journeys, as well as formation for our parents.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based formation program for children 3 years old (potty-trained) to 2nd graders.

The sessions are at 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

If your child will thrive in a Montessori-based program, we highly recommend this excellent program! Visit our CGS page for more information.

Faith Journeys

Faith Journeys is designed to help our children understand the richness of our Catholic faith for children 3 years-old (potty-trained) to 5th graders.

The one session is from 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

The children are called to deepen their personal relationship with Christ with the help of their parents, catechists, and peers. Every month our children will be presented a trail to hike by completing mileposts. For example, to complete the Blessed Mother Trail, children will need to complete these mileposts; (1) Learn how to pray the rosary; (2) Pray the rosary once a week with your family for the next month; (3) Create a Marian shrine in your home; (4) Be able to communicate what the Immaculate Conception is.

After completing these mileposts, the child will be tested by a catechist and report what they have completed at home. Children who complete these hikes and their families will be recognized twice a year at our Flames of Faith Ceremonies.

Parent Formation
Our parents have the option to attend our parent formation sessions.

These are held during the children’s formation, every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. in our chapel.

This will give parents the opportunity to learn what their children are learning, but on an adult level. Parent will have time to learn from each other and share tips on how to be the primary catechists of their children at home.
